Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
After 12 years of trying, I’ve finally secured a place through the ballot for the TCS London Marathon 2026 🥳🥳.
The moment I received the news I knew exactly what I wanted to do with this opportunity: run for a cause that means so much to me, to our family, and to our friends.
One of our bestest friends was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at just 48. He’s now 53, and in those years, he has faced so many challenges but seeing him face these with strength, humour and resilience is amazing and something I admire more than I can ever put into words. His family has also shown incredible strength and running for Parkinson’s UK is my way of acknowledging this, showing the love we have for him as well as supporting the vital work being done for everyone living with this condition.
Parkinson’s UK is there for every person on every step of their Parkinson’s journey. They campaign for better health and care, fund ground breaking research, and provide life-changing support services. They’re a community united by one mission: improving life with Parkinson’s and, ultimately, finding a cure ❤️❤️.
I’ll be incredibly proud to run for Parkinson’s UK on 26 April 2026 — raising funds, raising awareness, and running with our friend firmly in my heart.
