Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
I’m running the Manchester Marathon next April in support of Parkinson’s UK.
This is a cause that has become very personal to my family over the last few years, making us much more aware of the challenges the condition can bring over time and the importance of the support that Parkinson’s UK provides to those affected.
If I’m honest, the fundraising feels much less daunting than the training. The thought of long runs through a cold, dark, and wet winter is already terrifying, and there will no doubt be plenty of moments when I question why I signed up for this.
But knowing it’s for such a worthwhile cause will help keep me going. If you’re able to support me, I’d be hugely grateful. Any donation, however small, will make a real difference and provide some much needed motivation when the morning training runs come around.
Thank you to my sponsors
