Great South Run 2026

Running for Roy and everyone affected by Parkinson’s.

This October, I’ll be taking on the Great South Run, a 10-mile challenge, to raise money for Parkinson’s UK.

This cause is very close to my heart because my father-in-law lives with Parkinson’s. Before the disease, he was an active, practical, hands-on person who was always busy and willing to help others. Watching someone so capable gradually lose the ability to do the things they once took for granted has been difficult for our whole family.

Parkinson’s affects far more than movement. It impacts independence, confidence, and everyday life, not only for those living with the condition but also for the people who love and support them.

Over the coming months I’ll be training hard and pushing myself to the finish line in support of everyone affected by Parkinson’s.

Every donation, no matter the size, will help Parkinson’s UK continue its vital work supporting people with the condition, funding research, and campaigning for better care.

Thank you for your support. It really does mean a lot.
