Such awesome support and celebration, I’m grateful to all of them and an envelope of cash to add to the sponsorship!

3 miles this evening

Friday 27th Mar

Blue skies, sun shining, 3 1/2 miles, slow and leisurely today taking in the views and enjoying the scenery between Hamstreet and Warehorne.

Happy Mother’s Day x

4 miles added

Friday 13th Mar
Lovely  route along the Royal Military Canal from Hamstreet to Warehorne then the muddy fields back home.

Half way through!!

Wednesday 11th Mar
Got 4 miles done this morning bringing me a total of 25!
HALFWAY!!!
Went out on my own today and that feels harder for me.
But if it was easy, there wouldn’t be a challenge.
Living with Parkinson’s is a challenge, it isn’t easy, so every penny raised will go towards making something hard a little bit easier for someone living with Parkinson’s.
Please, if you can, a small donation would be greatly appreciated.

5 more muddy miles

Sunday 8th Mar
Happy to have Steph along again today.
5 mile circuit through Woodchurch which although muddy, has lovely views.
Thank you so much for all the words of encouragement and the sponsorship. Every penny is greatly appreciated xx

5 more miles in the bag

Friday 6th Mar
Thank you Stephanie for talking throughout the entire 5 miles and being a great distraction!!

Get going this morning!

Wednesday 4th Mar
Managed 7km around the village this morning. I don’t like hills….unless it’s going down!
I am so grateful to everyone who has sponsored me so far.
Every single penny counts.

1st March 1st run

Sunday 1st Mar
Kicked off today with 6.5 miles (10.80km) along a very blustery seafront, West Hythe to Folkestone.
And along came Steph and Alex, who offered to join me without coercion!
It made the first run a very special one, thank you to you both.
Thank you also to all who have sponsored me xx

Page up and running!

Tuesday 17th Feb
At least Alex managed to sort out the photo so my head isn't cut off!!!

Why am I taking part in 50/50 2026?

Tuesday 17th Feb
Because it means something to me.
I’ll be running 50 miles in 50 days.
Living with Parkinson’s isn’t always easy, but running has become a really important part of my routine. It helps me physically, but it also helps me mentally — it gives me focus, structure, always a challenge and has given me a whole new group of supportive friends.
So I thought, why not turn something I’m already doing into something that can help others too?
Parkinson’s UK has given me so much support and encouragement on a personal level. The advice, the resources, and simply knowing they’re there has made a real difference to me. Taking on this challenge feels like the perfect way to give something back.
50 miles in 50 days, starting on March 1st — let’s do this 💪

Thank you to my sponsors
