Move for Nurses 2026

Why I'm fundraising for Parkinson's UK

I’m taking part in Move for Nurses to help fund specialist care for people with Parkinson’s.

Many people with Parkinson's don't have the support of a Parkinson's nurse. My partner has PD and we are fortunate to have a nurse who works locally, so we know how supportive this service can be. They can help with queries about medication and all the other services that support people with PD, such as physio and speech therapy.

I'm uniting with thousands of others this July, all passionate about improving life for people with Parkinson’s.

Any donation you can make will be most welcome.

Why this is important to me

Friday 19th Jun
Helping to raise funds to support Parkinson's Nurses is really important to me. My partner has Parkinson's and we know how important it is to have a Parkinson's Nurse as part of our support network. Not everyone can access this brilliant service, we are very fortunate to have a great PD Nurse who we can contact with any queries about medication and all kinds of support services.
