Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the Great North Run on 13 September 2026 to raise vital funds for Parkinson's UK. 

At the age of just 57, my uncle battles against the cruelty of Parkinson’s disease. Diagnosed over 7 years ago now, the illness has progressed, with the need for support now more than ever. The work of Parkinson’s UK is crucial to supporting not only those with the illness, but also the family and loved ones around it who see the day-to-day affect that this horrible disease can have.

The funds raised will support research, care, training, and so much more! 

Please help by sponsoring me whatever you can. All the money raised will go to Parkinson’s UK nurses, to provide much-needed advice, support and information for people who are living with the condition.
