Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the Great North Run on 13 September 2026 to raise vital funds for Parkinson's UK.

Please help by sponsoring me whatever you can. All the money raised will go to Parkinson’s UK nurses, to provide much-needed advice, support and information for people who are living with the condition.

My Nana unfortunately passed away from Parkinson’s in 2020 after a living with it for many years - mostly undetected. After completing my dissertation in Parkinson’s disease rehabilitation, I completed a degree in physiotherapy where I now work with a range of people, many having Parkinson’s. With my personal and professional experience with the disease and seeing the devastating effects it can cause I want to raise money to fund life changing treatments.
