My motivation for run 50/50
Friday 16th JanOn the 6th of December 2023, my grandfather (better known to his grandchildren as Taid) sadly passed away. He had been living with Parkinson’s for many years, and it was heartbreaking to watch the disease progress, especially when it affected his memory.
Taid was a huge role model in my life. He looked after me most weeks alongside my Nanna, and those days shaped who I am today. He taught me French grammar, helped me practise the piano, and spent many hours discussing maths and science with me. He was endlessly patient, curious, and kind.
I miss him every single day. By taking on this challenge, I’m hoping to honour his memory and raise money to support Parkinson’s UK. This money is essential for research and providing support for those living with Parkinson’s and their families.
