I’m very fortunate to be doing the Great North Run again this year in support of Parkinson’s UK.
Parkinson’s UK is a charity that means a great deal to me. My Grandpa struggled with Parkinson’s for many many years. He had such a creative, intelligent mind - Poetry and music were favourites. Yet it was his body that failed him, and left his mind trapped and encumbered.
It is a horrible, degenerative disease and currently there is still no cure. However the more support Parkinson’s UK receives, the greater change that better treatments are found and one day, hopefully, a cure.
