Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the Great North Run on 13 September 2026 to raise vital funds for Parkinson's UK.
My wife was diagnosed with Parkinsons in May 2025 and we will be running it together to help raise funds and awareness. My wife is from South Shields where the race finishes and she has fond memories from standing at the finish line when she was younger, this is something she has always wanted to do and this will be a very emotional and rewarding thing for us both.
Please help by sponsoring me whatever you can. All the money raised will go to Parkinson’s UK nurses, to provide much-needed advice, support and information for people who are living with the condition.
