Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the Hat and Home Spinnaker Tower Abseil for Parkinson’s UK and would really appreciate your support!
We’re Parkinson’s UK. The charity that’s here to support every Parkinson’s journey, every step of the way. Wherever you’re from, whatever you need.
We don’t wait for change, we make it happen. We believe that together we’ll find a cure. But that’s not all we’re working for. We campaign for better health and care, fund research into groundbreaking new treatments, and run life-changing support services.
Families, volunteers, campaigners, fundraisers, scientists, health and care workers. We’re a powerful community united by one mission: improving life with Parkinson’s.

Taking the Leap for Parkinson’s
Tuesday 28th AprThis year, I’m stepping well outside my comfort zone and taking on an abseil down Spinnaker Tower to raise money for Parkinson’s research and support.
Like many people, I’ve watched from the sidelines as Parkinson’s has affected someone close to me. My good friend Ben lives with Parkinson’s, and seeing the daily challenges he faces has made this cause incredibly personal to me. Parkinson’s doesn’t just impact the person diagnosed — it affects families, friendships, and everyday life in ways many people don’t realise.
That’s why I wanted to do something that would both challenge me personally and help raise awareness and funds for such an important charity.
Standing at the top of Spinnaker Tower and stepping over the edge will definitely test my nerves, but it feels small compared to the courage people like Ben show every single day living with Parkinson’s.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help fund vital research, support services, and bring hope to those affected by this condition.
If you’re able to support me, I’d be hugely grateful. Your generosity will make a real difference and help me take that step over the edge knowing it’s for something truly worthwhile.
Thank you so much for your support.
