Why I am fundraising for Parkinson’s

I am fundraising for Parkinson’s UK as in January 2025, I sadly lost my Nanny Peggy to the disease. She was the most special person to me and I will miss her everyday.

My Nan was an incredible, strong lady who influenced so many lives. She was the most loving and caring woman who gave everything to others her whole life. She worked as a nurse up until retirement and was highly credentialed in her work due to how amazing she was and the efforts she put in, in order to make a change in people’s lives and wanting the best for anyone she came across. 

My Nan did everything and more for family, friends and even strangers. She filled everyone’s lives with joy and love and sacrificed everything she had in order to bring happiness to those around her. 

Words can’t really describe what she meant to me and the person she truly was, but my only wish is to give back to her in some way which I hope this does. My heart goes out to all those affected by this disease and the families themselves, it is upsetting to see how much affect it can have.
