TCS London Marathon Saturday 2027

I'm fundraising for my Superman Dad!!

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m so excited (and nervous) to be taking part in the 2027 TCS London Marathon for Parkinson’s UK on Saturday 24 April and would really appreciate your support!

I'm running for my Superman Dad, Phil, who was diagnosed with Parkinson's 10 years ago. In that time, it's reshaped his and my families lives in ways I never imagined. He's currently on 38 tablets a day just to manage his symptoms and that's just one part of what living with this disease really looks like.

Not many people know, but there are over 40 recognised symptoms of Parkinson's. Dad deals with muscle cramps and stiffness every single day, along with fatigue, low motivation, and a growing struggle to keep up with conversation or socialise the way he used to.

Dad has always had a fantastic sense of humour and has always been the one everyone in the room gravitate towards. Some days are better than others now (he's still his mischievous self), but socialising and getting his true personality across has become more of a struggle. So, if he has to deal with these symptoms including pain and stiffness every day of his life, the least I can do is push through 26.2 miles to support him!

Every event I've taken part in for Parkinson's UK has been met with such generosity and kindness from everyone. The London Marathon will be my biggest challenge yet but I am determined to train hatd and raise as much money as I can for this incredible charity.

If you're able to spare any change and would like to support my Dad and Parkinson's Uk, I would be so very grateful 🩵

I'll be documenting my training journey along the way - the highs, the hard days, and everything in between.

Every step I take, and every penny raised, brings us closer to a cure for Parkinson's.

Run in the sun 🌞

Friday 14th Aug
7km on the beachfront this morning ☀️🏃

Laced up early this morning whilst on holiday for a training run along the beachfront here in Spain. Sun coming up over the water and sand under my feet was the best feeling!

And obviously, you can't finish a run without a reward of a coffee and a croissant ☕🥐 (Some might call it the real reason I run.)

Don't get me wrong, there were moments where I was like 'I can't do this! Its too hot' but I got through it thinking about who i'm doing it for 🩵
