I’m raising money to support people living with Parkinson’s disease. Parkinson’s is a tough journey, not just for the person living with it, but for families and friends too. I’ve seen firsthand how much strength it takes to face it every day.
I will be running in my memory of my Grandma Shelia, who lived with Parkinson’s for over 20 years. She was my rock, role model and best friend all in one. Watching her battle with the disease was heartbreaking but she fought it with such courage and resilience that made me in awe of her everyday. Throughout our lives she was supportive, loving, selfless, hilarious, sarcastic and stubborn (two traits I proudly inherited from her) and all around an incredible women who always thought of others before herself.
