Gareth's fundraiser for Parkinson’s UK
As some of you may know, my dad has recently been diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. Currently there is no known cure for this neurological condition, which will progressively worsen with age.
However, charities like Parkinson’s UK are doing amazing work funding research into treatments, as well as offering support and advice for individuals and families on how to live with the condition.
Those who know me are aware of my ever-growing enthusiasm for cycling, so I thought I’d put that to good use by riding the London to Brighton Bike Ride as a fundraiser for Parkinson’s UK. Cycling is one of the best ways for people who live with Parkinson’s, like my dad, to stay mobile and active, as a way of managing symptoms which make movement increasingly difficult.
Any and all donations would be massively appreciated, as they go directly towards funding vital information and support as well as the most promising research to find new treatments and a cure. Thank you!
