Longest run evaaaaaaa

Week Dos, bosh

Sunday 18th Jan

Another week of 0 asthma attacks and straight vibes. Overview:

  1. Run 1 (4.5) - ‘easy run’ completed to start off the week. Felt strong, steady & quick off the mark. However slight set back of shin splits results in a thorough recovery period and big toe strengthening exercises. 7/10
  2. Run 2 (7k) - wasn’t feeling this one after a hefty sushi feed and couple of bevvies the previous night but we got the job done. And felt FANTASTIC. Longest run evaaa and no shin splities. Vamossssss

Hackney Half Marathon Plan Week 2 in the mag m88888, bosh.

Week 1 FINITO

Sunday 11th Jan

From thinking I won’t be able to run over 3k to having slight hope, we finish week 1 with positivity and 0 injuries/ asthmas attacks. Overview:

  1. Run 1 (3.5k) - meant to be easy, however I can tell you it was NOT. Said to myself to never run on a treadmill in a sweaty gym ever again. Zero hope I’m being able run more than a 5k. 6/10
  2. Run 2 (6k) - proceeded to go against my own advice and return to the treadmill which gave me a humbling reminder of how unfit I am. BUT Completed my first 6k in approx 10 years with the help of my inhaler friend with the help of my new playlist. 7/10
  3. Run 3 (6.5k) - committed to an extra run with Gutz to officially close out week 1. Faced the outdoors with my new headband, glovies and bum bag and finished one of best runs I’ve ever had (and longest!!). Creds to the goooooootz for keeping me distracted. Zero asthma flare ups too. Hope reinstated. 9/10

Hackney Half Marathon Plan Week 1 officially FINITO, thank fuck.
