Running the Hackney Half

Monday 12th Jan
I'm running the 2026 Hackney Half Marathon to support Parkinson's UK and in memory of my grandad, Russell Varley, who passed away in 2004 after being diagnosed with Parkinson's in the 90s. 

I don't remember much about my grandad apart from his illness and while there's no cure for the disease (yet), treatments for Parkinson's have development extensively in the thirty years since his diagnosis, all thanks to the incredible work of Parkinson's UK.
