Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
On 31st May 2026, I’ll be taking on a 10K run in memory of my Grandad who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s, we sadly lost Donald Coy in September last year. I’ll be running to raise money for Parkinson’s research 💙
I’ve never run a 10K before, but after completing a 5K last year in aid of Cancer Research, I’ve started training for this new challenge. My Uncle Craig and I will be running together, with our family cheering us on from the sidelines 🏃🏽♀️
Parkinson’s affects so many families. Someone in the UK is diagnosed every 20 minutes, and without continued research, the number of people living with Parkinson’s worldwide is expected to double to 25 million by 2050 😮
