Twilight Pumpkin Festival
Friday 16th OctToday's walk was not your typical idea of a walk. We went to a twilight pumkin festival instead. We had a walk around the pumpkin field whilst listening to the live singer playing in the background. We then had a hot choccy to warm up as it was freezing, well I did Nala was on the water 😂😂. Then we watched the live fire show but we left before it finished to avoid getting stuck in the car park queue 🎃🎀

Friday 9th Oct Me and my dad came to our caravan straight from work. we planned on walking along the beach, stopping in the pub playing bingo, walking back and having tea. Unfortunately the universe had other plans. The tide was right up and the pub was that full we couldn't get a table We ender up having a walk around and going go a few pubs. We playing a few games of pool and had a couple of pints. Even though our original plans didn't work out we still had a lovely time and really enjoyed spending time together. ❤️ Share

Tuesday 6th Oct Sunday me and nala decided to go somewhere that's not your typical walk. I seen on Facebook that the dog friendly farm that me and my brother took Nala too a few years ago was hosting a discounted price day so I booked and went. We said the last time we went that grampy would love it hear and so would nan but life got in the way and one thing led to another and we didn't end up going. Now it would be impossible to take him as he relies on a wheelchair to get around and the paths are too bumpy and uneven to risk taking him so he'll have to settle for some photos and me talking about it. Monday 5th Oct myself, my partner and Nala went on a weekend away to Cornwall. I was really looking forward to it, a nice change of scenery and a break away from the tough week I'd had in work. We got there and the caravan was terrible.. It was absolutely filthy and covered in bugs and insects. I don't mind a fly or 2 maybe even a spider but this was unacceptable for the money we paid. We complained and got moved. The next caravan was so much better and despite a rubbish start we had a lovely time and enjoyed our time in Cornwall and nala enjoyed her beach walks and sausage from the chippy. Share
why we're doing the challenge
Wednesday 30th Sep Around about 4 years ago my Grampy was diagnosed with parkinsons. I'd heard of it but had no idea what it really was.. I spent hours in the evenings trying to teach myself as much as humanly possible all about parkinsons and how best to support him. I learnt that exercise was the best thing, so me and Nala decided once a week minimum to take him on a walk. We loved it and so did he. We went on so many adventures. Fast forward about 3 years and his parkinsons progressed. We tried taking him out using other methods wheelchair, zimmer frame roller ect but unfortunately his parkinsons progressed that much that I am unable to take him out on my own with nala. He's now in a care home and myself and my family takes him out as much as we can. This year myself and Nala will be participating in walkies for parkinsons to raise money for the amazing charity that had helped grampy over the past 4 years. ShareThank you to my sponsors
