Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
I’m taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2025 to raise vital funds for Parkinson's UK.
Parkinson’s UK is a charity close to mine and my family’s hearts. My darling Nanny Jo suffered with this awful disease for many years before we sadly lost her in 2023. Her quality of life was completely diminished and it was heartbreaking to witness.
My wonderful Grandad Tony also suffered with the disease before we lost him the same year. He was an incredibly intelligent, active and brilliant man who I am proud to call family and it was awful to see the disease slowly take over.
Parkinson’s UK provides vital support for those living with the disease, as well as funding research towards finding a cure.
I will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon in memory of my Nanny and Grandad and also for anyone else suffering with Parkinson’s. Any donation will make a difference.
