Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
In April, I’ll be running the Brighton Marathon in honour of my Dad, who sadly lost his battle with Parkinson’s over two years ago.
Watching someone you love live with Parkinson’s really brings home how much this condition affects not just the individual, but the whole family.
I’m taking on this challenge to raise funds, awareness, and hopefully contribute in a small way to better treatments and, one day, a cure.
Dad supported me in everything I did, especially my sport. He was always there on the sidelines, shouting, often swearing, but all from a place of love and 'unfiltered' enthusiasm.
Running Brighton marathon in his honour feels like a fitting way to say thank you for all that support, and to channel it into something positive that might help other families facing the same battle.
Being my first ever marathon any support, big or small, would mean the world to me and to SK - Super Kev.
Thank you ❤️
