Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

We’re Parkinson’s UK. The charity that’s here to support every Parkinson’s journey, every step of the way. Wherever you’re from, whatever you need.

We don’t wait for change, we make it happen. We believe that together we’ll find a cure. But that’s not all we’re working for. We campaign for better health and care, fund research into groundbreaking new treatments, and run life-changing support services.

Families, volunteers, campaigners, fundraisers, scientists, health and care workers. We’re a powerful community united by one mission: improving life with Parkinson’s.
Giles’ mum, Margaret Draper, very sadly  passed away after battling Parkinson’s for a number of years. She was incredibly brave, never shying away from any challenge or new treatment. I am taking part in her memory and to hopefully raise some money for the charity which provided so much support for her and also for us. I know she will be following my progress and hoping I beat Giles!

My updates

Training has begun!

Sunday 1st Mar
Braved the floods to get some miles in….24 miles today so just under half the full distance. Put a few hills into the route but need to add in some much bigger hills to get ready for the ride!

Training must start!

Sunday 22nd Feb
Well, the bike ride is looming so after spending a week skiing (hopefully has helped to build up some strength in my legs), it’s time to start cycling!

Thank you to my sponsors
