Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
I’m walking to help fund specialist Parkinson’s care to thousands more people who urgently need it.
Thousands of us are uniting to help people with Parkinson’s, and those who love and care for them, get access to the support they need.
My lovely sister, who has been very active and helpful to others for most of her 91 years, has Parkinson's disease and now finds it difficult to get around even in her own home; yet she never fails to make people feel welcome or looked after.
I am so grateful that I can still walk that I want to use this ability to help raise awareness and funding so she, and anyone with this disease, can live as full a life as possible.
I am walking at Herrington Country Park, Penshaw, on Sunday September 6th if you want to join me.
If not, maybe you can spare a bit of your cash!
Thanks, Dorothy
