Walk for Parkinson's: Surrey 2026

Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

I’m walking to help fund specialist Parkinson’s care to thousands more people who urgently need it.

Thousands of us are uniting to help people with Parkinson’s, and those who love and care for them, get access to the support they need.

Living with Parkinson's at a Young Age: Making Every Day Count

Sunday 2nd Aug

A year ago, my life changed forever.
At an age when most people are building careers, making plans for the future, and feeling invincible, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. It's something many people associate with older generations, not someone my age. Hearing those words was something I never expected, and it forced me to look at life in a completely different way.
Over the last year, I've experienced emotions I never imagined I'd have to face. Fear, uncertainty, frustration, and grief for the future I thought I had. But alongside those emotions has come something else: determination.
I don't know exactly what my future with Parkinson's will look like. None of us do. What I do know is that I refuse to let this diagnosis define who I am.
If anything, it has made me appreciate every single day even more.
I want to do as much as I possibly can while I can. I want to create memories, take on challenges, help others, raise awareness, and show that Parkinson's doesn't just affect the elderly. Thousands of younger people are living with this condition, often facing unique challenges that many people simply don't see.
That's why this charity journey means so much to me.
Every donation, every conversation, and every person who learns a little more about Parkinson's brings us one step closer to better treatments, greater understanding, and, one day, hopefully a cure.
I'm not sharing my story because I want sympathy. I'm sharing it because I want to make a difference. If my experience encourages just one person to support Parkinson's research, seek help sooner, or realise they aren't alone, then speaking out has been worthwhile.
Parkinson's may be part of my life now, but it will never take away my determination to keep living life to the fullest.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the past year. Your kindness, encouragement, and generosity give me strength on the difficult days and remind me that I'm not facing this journey alone.
The future may be uncertain, but one thing is certain: I'm going to keep fighting, keep raising awareness, and keep making every day count.
If you'd like, I can also make it more emotional and inspiring, focusing on being a father and your determination to keep creating memories despite Parkinson's.

Thank you to my sponsors
