Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the 2027 TCS London Marathon for Parkinson’s UK on Sunday 25 April and would really appreciate your support!

I am running the London marathon in memory of my grandfather who lived with Parkinson’s until his passing in 2024. He demonstrated great resilience, strength and courage during this time and remained positive even when his health deteriorated. He was fortunate to live well with Parkinson’s but not all people with the condition are as fortunate. His selfless personality and kind nature remain a part of my daily life as he taught me the principles of being a gentleman by putting others before yourself. I would like to take this opportunity to give back in his memory to a fantastic cause that resonates with me on a personal level. Parkinson’s UK provides great support to those living with the condition across the UK. They hold regular fundraising events to develop treatments and support networks for those living with the disease. Their mission is not only to find a cure for Parkinson’s but to promote equality and good quality care for all who live with the condition they have fantastic nurse specialist support and link in with communities to provide support locally. Any donation is greatly appreciated and I can’t thank you enough for taking the time to read the inspiration behind my decision to support such a fantastic cause.
