How do I know how far I have walked?

Thursday 21st May
I have been asked this question several times over the last few days. It's simple. I have a Fitbit that will use GPS to measure the distance I have travelled whether it be specific walks or just the daily total. This is then the information I enter on this site.
My fitbit does measure in Km though so I then need to change it to miles.

Days 12-19

Tuesday 19th May
So I have not been particularly good at keeping my blog.
I have been averaging around 3-5 miles a day so I am (after today) at 75 miles.
I have had several walks around the local area. Been to the park twice- one where there was hailstones and the second time rain. My umbrella has also accompanied me on other walks but not been used.
Last night after dance, I then took the longer scenic route back to the car along the river.
Just 12 days to go but opportunities for lots walking coming up- car boots on Sunday and perhaps other longer walks as it is another long weekend.

This time last year, I was beginning to panic as I had been too complacent and needed to suddenly fit ib slme longer walks.
Although I am still a bit nervous about getting it done, I am sure I will and go beyond but missing out on a 8 mile walk tomorrow as working from home so will have to maybe do two shorter ones or a longer one after I have finished.

Walk to work

Wednesday 13th May
As Wednesday is meeting day, I decided to walk to work this morning. Nearly 10km/6miles return journey and oh so many hills. Both legs and lungs objected to the first hill and the last one where the rain decided to join me. Now time for tea and cake.

Day 2

Saturday 2nd May
Well, today was not an extra walk but nearly 4 miles  across the whole day of being busy with life- mainly shopping to be honest but also other admin and organisation.
It makes you realise how easily these things can be taken for granted when you can do them without worry if you can't walk or are going to start to shake. Or worry about if you have a "good" day today what will I be like tomorrow- will my symptoms come be worse as I have enjoyed myself or been busy. Please try to sponsor me if you can- every little bit helps.

1st Day

Friday 1st May
A bit of a slow start today but decided to have a walk around the town where I moved to a month and a half ago- only a 2.6mile walk but I discovered new places. Accompanied by thunder on the way home and the rain has started now I am inside.

Thank you to my sponsors
