Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the TCS 2026 London Marathon for Parkinson’s UK and would really appreciate your support! 

This Parkinson's charity have helped me. I have always wanted to complete the London marathon and I cannot think of a better charity to raise money for!

This is a huge challenge for me, and not something which will be achieved easily. I wouldn’t describe myself as a runner, and running doesn’t come easy to me! I am a mum to Noah and work full time in the NHS. It will be a challenge to fit in training runs alongside these commitments, especially in the dark, cold and wet months approaching, but I am determined!

Any pennies that can be spared would be greatly appreciated! Thank you to everyone for their support, love and kind donations ♥️♥️♥️

Silent auction finale

After months of contacting over 500 local businesses, kindly asking for auction prizes. I have been so fortunate to receive 15 amazing gifts from lovely local businesses and friends. Tomorrow brings the end to the silent auction held within AC Delco archery club over the last 3 weeks. Getting ever closer to my fundraising target, which I hope to smash! I am so proud to be part of team Parkinson's London marathon 2026 team, it's an absolute privilege and one I am not taking lightly. Fundraising is just as important and demanding as the physical marathon training! Balloons blown up, banners, and thank you letters written!

Poorly knee

Friday 6th Feb
Knee isn't happy, knee rehab starts now! A few weeks off running/ light running, physio, stretching and strengthening and we will be back on the road.😁

Silent Auction

Monday 2nd Feb
After months of preparation- emailing businesses, collecting donations and advertising, the silent auction finale is nearly here! I am hosting a silent auction within our amazing archery club with 14 prizes.

Bidding opened 2 weeks ago and shuts on Saturday 7th February at 11am.

I cannot thank the support of the AC Delco Archery community enough, thank you!

And thank you to each and every business that has donated a prize, it really means a lot!

My first 5km race completed, absolutely chuffed to have got under 30 minutes! Training is going well for marathon :-)

Longest run

Saturday 12th Jul
Very happy with my longest run so far! Have some fundraising donations saved, keeping everything crossed for my charity place with Parkinson's!

Funding started!

Wednesday 30th Apr
Application submitted to Parkinson's charity for London Marathon 2026. A rough training plan has been decided and dates confirmed, fingers crossed for decisions in August! Nevertheless whilst waiting for confirmation of a space fundraising has started, my monthly donations have started, and profits from my vinted sales saved in my London marathon funding pot- which I will transfer across once place confirmed in August.
