I'm Charlotte and I'm fundraising for my Nana Elizabeth
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the Bath Half Marathon for Parkinson’s UK and would really appreciate your support!
My Nana Elizabeth was diagnosed with Parkinson’s and so I am running this half marathon for her and for the thousands of families facing Parkinson’s everyday.
My Nana is, and always will be, one of the most intelligent people I know. Her knowledge seems endless and I’m fairly certain she would still do better than me on any episode of University Challenge. Conversations with her have always been so enjoyable and full of insight, as well as being witty and just so much fun.
She is also a very talented musician. She played the cello beautifully and it was something that seemed to fill her with so much joy, allowing her to both immerse herself in the music she loved as well as being able to surround herself with so many others who greatly cherished her talent as a cellist and valued her as a great friend too. Music is something that lights her up and I will forever hold close my beautiful memories of seeing her playing the cello.
Seeing Parkinson’s take pieces of these things she once did so effortlessly is heartbreaking to watch.
