Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
I’m running the Bath Half for Parkinson’s because this disease has devastated someone I love deeply — my grandad.
Watching Parkinson’s slowly take away a person you know and love is heartbreaking. It’s cruel, relentless, and affects not only the person living with it, but everyone around them too. My grandad is now receiving end of life care, and seeing what this illness has done to him has been incredibly difficult.
I wanted to do something in his honour, and to support the families going through the same pain. Every donation will help fund research, support, and hopefully a future where fewer families have to watch someone they love suffer from this horrible disease.
