Berlin Marathon 2026 - Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the Berlin Marathon 2026 to raise vital funds for Parkinson's UK.

I am running the Berlin Marathon in memory of my Dad, Martin Peters, who sadly passed away in December 2024 at the age of 72. My Dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's at the age of 53, and his father (my grandfather) also had Parkinson's. In the almost two decades after his diagnosis, my Dad continued to research the disease, strived to stay healthy and active, and was involved with the Poole and District Branch of Parkinson's UK.

I am training for the marathon while working on a cruise ship, adding another level of challenge to my training, but so far it has been a very enjoyable and worthwhile personal challenge. Any donations would be greatly appreciated to help towards this wonderful charity!
