Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
I’m taking part in Walk for Parkinson’s 100 Mile Challenge to help fund specialist care for people with Parkinson’s.
My mum has very recently been diagnosed with Parkinson's, so it is all still very new to us all, I hope that fund raising will help towards finding a cure for this disease.
My updates

Mums medication!
Thursday 10th Apr Mum has been on medication now for 3 weeks, the difference already is very promising, it's like Mum is being Mum again, this is brilliant for her, so fingers crossed she will now be able to do more exercise and walking, which will definitely help her. We are going to Somerset at the end of the month, so that will be a lovely change of scenery for her and Dad. Of course I'll still be walking. Share
My Mum
Saturday 29th Mar My mum was diagnosed with PD in February, she'd just turned 80, although she'd had some symptoms for 2 years, being told it was this was quite a shock. I'm doing this walk to help raise money for research into this horrible disease. We live in the New Forest so there are plenty of places to walk, I have a dog too so makes it easy to notch up the miles. The help Mum has received from our local hospital in Lymington has been great so far. ShareThank you to my sponsors
