Help me reach my goal of £1,800

Grandad Alan 💙

This year, I applied for the London Marathon for the very first time—and somehow, I was lucky enough to get a place through the ballot. I had three charities close to my heart that I considered running for, but in the end I knew I wanted to do this in memory of my grandad, Alan.
Born in London and having lived there his whole life, my grandad was an incredibly strong man. He lived with Parkinson’s for many years, and my family and I watched him slowly deteriorate, yet he faced the disease with unbelievable courage until the very end on 18.11.19 
From the age of 15 to 20, I lived with my Nan and Grandad. My grandad took me to my first job interview, helped me pick up my first car—he was my taxi, my guide, my rock, along with my Nan. I will always be grateful that I got to have him in my life in such a meaningful way.
Running this marathon for Parkinson’s UK is my way of honouring him, raising awareness, and doing whatever I can to support others living with the disease.
The marathon has come at the perfect time for me. After a very challenging couple of years, it has given me a new focus—and I know this is only the beginning.

And finally, this is also for my children, Harleybelle and Frankie who I love dearly. You are my “why,” and you always will be.
No matter what life throws at you, if I can show you—just as Grandad Alan showed me—strength, resilience, kindness, compassion, and above all, love, then I know you’ll grow up believing you can achieve anything you put your minds to xxxxx
