Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026 to raise vital funds for Parkinson's UK. 


I became officially aware of the effects of Parkinson’s when my close family member was diagnosed. I always knew of the disease but I was never aware of the physical impacts Parkinson’s can have on someone’s life. My grandma was a very active person. Going for long walks almost every day however since her Parkinson’s diagnosis physically she has not been able to do as much. I hope that even just by running for Parkinson’s uk I am able to spread awareness to others on the neurological disease that’s has yet to have found a cure.
