Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

I appreciate this event is not until next year, however I wanted to raise awareness early enough that I am doing the London Landmarks Half Marathon in April to raise funds to support a charity close to my heart since my Dad was diagnosed a few months ago with Parkinson’s.
I have been wanting to do this race for years now and have entered the ballot each year with no joy, however after seeing Parkinson’s UK was one of the beneficiary charities, I thought let’s sign up and see if I could do it through a charity place which my family now have a connection with, and yes I’m happy to say I got offered a place😊👍🏼
