Deep Brain Stimulation
A few weeks ago in April, I was given a life changing opportunity to have DBS deep brain stimulation surgery at John Radcliffe hospital in Oxford.
Quite simply this very clever technology can reduce tremor in Parkinson’s by up to 85%. The reason that surgery is even available today is because Parkinson’s UK funded a massive part of the research 25 years ago .
. So we are raising money today to hopefully find the cure in 25 years. Technology and medicine moves so quickly that this really is becoming a reality.
