Why I am running for Parkinsons UK
In October, I am planning to run the half-marathon in the Royal Parks. This is now the 11th anniversary of the passing of my father, Eberhard Kölsch, and I am fundraising in his memory for a cure against Parkinson.
Dad lived with Parkinson's for ten years, refusing to be defined by it even as it started to limit his physical abilities and hampered his speech; this was extremely painful after a lifetime as a diplomat and consumate public speaker. He was lucky to be spared the full decline, other people I know have not.
To help support research into fighting Parkinson and help us all age without it, I would appreciate your donations.
