Why I am raising money for Parkinson’s
This year, my family sadly lost my Grandad, who lived with Parkinson’s for several years.
Parkinson’s affected him in so many ways. There were good days, but there were also extremely difficult days that showed us just how challenging life with Parkinson’s can be — not only for the person living with it, but for their family and everyone around them.
That’s why I’ve decided to take on this run and raise money for Parkinson’s UK.
I want to help raise awareness of what living with Parkinson’s is really like, while doing something meaningful in memory of my Grandad.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help support Parkinson’s UK in funding vital research, improving care and services, and working towards a future without Parkinson’s.
If you’re able to sponsor me, I’d be incredibly grateful. Every pound donated is another step towards better treatments, better support and, one day, a cure.
I’m doing this for my Grandad, for my family, and for everyone living with Parkinson’s today.
Good luck Arran your grandad would be proud x
