We did it! 100 miles in May

Saturday 30th May
We officially crossed the finish line! Throughout May, I took on the challenge to walk 100 miles to raise vital funds and awareness for Parkinson’s disease. Today, I want to express my deepest gratitude to every single person who sponsored this journey, cheered me on, and donated to the cause. Your generosity kept me moving through every single mile.
Here is a look back at how some of those 100 miles came together.
Exploring South London's Hidden Gems
The bulk of this challenge took place exploring some of the most beautiful green spaces South London has to offer, including:
  • Beckenham Place Park: Clocking miles around the stunning mansion house and ancient woodland.
  • Lloyd Park: Navigating the rolling hills and vibrant open fields.
  • South Croydon Local Nature Reserve: Finding peace and tracking steps along the quiet wildlife corridors.
A Grand Finale on the Jurassic Coast
To bring the challenge to a memorable close, I headed south to Dorset. Walking the final miles along the breathtaking cliffs and rugged terrain of the Jurassic Coast was physically demanding but incredibly rewarding. It was the perfect backdrop to reflect on the generous support you all provided.
It Is Not Too Late to Support
Because of your donations, we are helping fund crucial research and support services for those living with Parkinson’s. I could not have hit this milestone without your encouragement.
If you have not had a chance to chip in yet, the fundraising page is still active. You can still donate to help us make an even bigger impact against Parkinson's. Every little bit helps.

Walking for Parkinson's

Thursday 30th Apr

Hiya! I’m excited to be taking on the 100 Miles in May challenge to support Parkinson’s UK.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of connecting with people living with Parkinson’s, as well as their carers, in a variety of ways. Now, having worked at Parkinson’s UK for a while, I’ve been able to engage even more closely with this community. Listening to people share their experiences, their resilience, their challenges, and the difference the charity has made since their diagnosis has been incredibly powerful. From small everyday wins to major personal milestones, it’s clear just how vital the support, information, and sense of community provided by Parkinson’s UK truly is.

There are major strides being made everyday in research. This is why funding is so important to support the research initiatives that are vital to achieve the end goal of finding a cure for this disease.

Every mile I complete is a small way to raise awareness, fund support, and stand alongside people living with Parkinson’s.

If you’re able to, I’d be so grateful if you would consider donating to my fundraiser.  Your support will help ensure that people living with Parkinson’s can continue to access the vital services, information, and community they rely on.

Thank you to my sponsors
