In April, I’ll be running the Brighton Marathon — my very first marathon — in memory of my dad, Martin, who lived with Parkinson’s disease and passed away a year ago.
Parkinson’s is a cruel and relentless illness. It doesn’t just affect movement; it slowly takes away independence, confidence, and the simple, everyday moments many of us take for granted. Watching someone you love live with it is heartbreaking,
Running this marathon feels deeply personal. Every mile is for my dad — for his strength, his resilience, and the dignity he held onto despite the challenges Parkinson’s brought into his life. It’s also for the thousands of families still navigating this disease every single day.
The charity I’m fundraising for does vital work: supporting those living with Parkinson’s, funding research, and pushing for better treatments and, ultimately, a cure. Their work offers hope
Thank you so much for supporting me, for supporting this cause
