Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

I will be running the Manchester Marathon on Sunday 27th April to raise charity for Parkinson’s UK and would really appreciate your support by sponsoring my challenge.

Parkinson's is a progressive neurological condition primarily known for affecting movement but also affecting memory/thinking, sleep, pain and mental health. It dramatically affects sufferers ability to function both physically and mentally in their normal daily activities. I see first-hand the effects of this disease with my Mother-in-law and Uncle. I have also encountered the suffering of patients and their families whilst working as a physiotherapist. Parkinson's UK supports patients, their families, and carers while advocating for better treatments and ultimately a cure.

By sponsoring you will be directly contributing to vital support services, groundbreaking research and the development of new and better treatments for Parkinson's disease.
