Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

My Dad lived with Parkinson’s for over twenty years, being diagnosed when he was in his early 50s. He never complained about the cruel impact which living with Parkinson's had on his hopes for retirement and his quality of life. He died 7 years ago without the chance to meet all his grandchildren and see them growing up.

We were lucky to have the support of a brilliant Parkinson’s Nurse and will always be grateful for all the expert information and advice which Parkinson’s UK provided to us as a family. I’m raising money for them so they can support other families like ours, fund research into treatments and campaign for better care.

This is the first time I’ve run further than 10k so wish me luck!
