Training for the GNR is well underway and I can’t believe how close it is now!

I want to try and run a half marathon before the big day to see how capable I am (fingers crossed for that one!). Feeling positive in myself - even though I may be slow and steady, I am excited to cross that finish line and hopefully raise some more money! 

Great North Run - Why?!

I‘m Annabelle; a 23 year old who is wanting to challenge themselves this year by taking part in the Great North Run 2024! 

I have chosen to do this via the charity Parkinson’s UK. There are so many amazing and diverse charities that you can do the GNR through. However, Parkinson’s UK is a charity close to home, and it really is an amazing charity who are dedicated to finding a cure and providing specialised support. 

By no means am I an experienced runner (far from it!) and this will be my first GNR! Although a challenge, this is really exciting for me and I’m proud to be doing it for Parkinson’s UK. 

If you are able to make a donation, I would really appreciate and be grateful for that, regardless how big or small.
