I’m running the Hackney Half Marathon in support of Parkinson’s UK, a cause that’s incredibly close to my heart. My why is my Uncle Roy. Watching how Parkinson’s affects him and those around has been tough to say the least. I’ve seen how much strength it takes to face it everyday.
Uncle Roy is truly one of a kind — the best uncle a girl could ever ask for. From buying me every Bob the Builder toy I wanted, to teaching me how to cheat in egg and spoon races. And as an adult, always being in my corner with endless love and encouragement — he’s been a constant source of happiness and support in my life.
