Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
I think I've lost the plot! Please read on...
Some of you may know I turn 50 at the end of March, and yes I've been on a pretty big health and fitness journey since last March.
I'm not a runner, but I am taking part in this challenge to run 50 miles in 50 days.
This is a huge thing for me but it's nothing compared to the challenges people with Parkinson's face every day.
Growing up my Grandpa had Parkinson's but his difficulties were just normal to me, but I know how much he struggled and the challenges he faced as his Parkinson's progressed.
Last November, after many years of us suspecting it, my dad finally received an official diagnosis for Parkinson's.
So, yes, I'm asking for money but I'm asking for the price of a birthday card or drink for my 50th to instead be donated to this amazing cause.
If you can sponsor me, anything at all, it would really push me on to achieve this challenge!!!
I’m taking part in Run 50/50 to help Parkinson's UK support the Parkinson's community.
There’s no cure for Parkinson’s. Yet.
I'm uniting with thousands of others, all passionate about improving life for people with Parkinson’s.
Much love, peace and thanks to you all 💙💛💙💛
