Why I'm fundraising for Parkinson's UK
I’m taking part in Walk for Parkinson’s 100 Mile Challenge to help fund specialist care for people with Parkinson’s.
I'm uniting with thousands of others, all passionate about improving life for people with Parkinson’s.
As many of you will be aware I have had Parkinson's Disease for over 10 years. I have also had a total left hip replacement 8 weeks ago.
Its 2.42am. in the morning and because of my Parkinson's I don't sleep well. It also makes me do crazy things like signing to to this challenge.
So I was surfing the net and saw this challenge and as God has given me the ability to walk again thanks to the marvellous orthopaedic team I thought its time to give something back. What is the point of a brand new hip if i don't use it!!
Parkinson's UK have been very helpful to me, especially through. the work of the Parkinson's Specialist Nurses and I hope through taking part in this challenge more nurses will be available to help fellow suffers.
So if you feel so inclined, please donate and sponsor me

Temptation!!!!
Saturday 9th May Today I added 28 miles in an error. When I looked at my page it showed my total mileage as 58 miles rather than the true figure of 33 miles. Nobody will notice. Just a simple error. Go on leave it as it is. But if nobody else knows I will know. So edited and now correct but further left to go.
Ikea
Thursday 7th May Well a spontaneous trip to IKEA. I seemed to be wandering round for ages. May I request that any walking in IKEA counts as double. To add insult to injury the meatballs were half price if you had a friends and families card. I knew I had one electronically in my phone. No I could not well not until I had eaten my plant based meatballs. It was then decided that.there was a time limit for producing a valid e-card and I had exceeded the time limit 😠😠😠Yes you read it right. I had plant based meatballs. And very nice too.
Good luck with the walking challenge Andy. You're a star.
