Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
In April 2027, I'll be taking on the London Marathon in support of Parkinson's UK.
Running has become such an important part of my life. It has challenged me physically and mentally, taught me resilience, and given me confidence I never thought I'd have.
Alongside this, I've recently qualified as a physiotherapist. During my clinical placements, I had the privilege of working with people living with Parkinson's. Seeing the determination and resilience they show every day inspired me more than I can put into words.
As a physiotherapist, I've seen how important movement, exercise and rehabilitation are in helping people maintain their independence and quality of life. Supporting Parkinson's UK feels incredibly personal because it combines two things I'm passionate about, helping people move and using running to make a difference.
Training for the London Marathon won't always be easy. As someone who also runs with asthma, I know there will be difficult days, but every mile will be worth it if it helps raise money for such an important cause.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Parkinson's UK continue funding groundbreaking research, provide vital support to people living with Parkinson's and their families, and work towards better treatments and, one day, a cure.
Thank you so much for supporting me on this incredible journey. I can't wait to share my training, fundraising and race day with you all!

I'M RUNNING THE LONDON MARATHON 2027! 🥹💙
Monday 3rd Aug
And today I found out I've been offered one! 💙
As a newly qualified physiotherapist, I've had the privilege of working with people living with Parkinson's during my placements. Seeing their resilience and determination has inspired me more than I can put into words, so I'm incredibly proud to be running for such an amazing cause.
Over the next 18 months I'll be sharing my training, the highs, the inevitable lows, and hopefully raising £2,300 for Parkinson's UK along the way.
If you'd like to follow the journey (or support the fundraiser), I'd be so grateful.
London Marathon 2027... let's do this. 🏃♀️💙
