Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I’m taking part in the Great North Run on 7 September 2025 to raise vital funds for Parkinson's UK.

Please help by sponsoring me whatever you can. All the money raised will go to Parkinson’s UK nurses, to provide much-needed advice, support and information for people who are living with the condition.

At the beginning of 2025 in January we sadly lost my Nanny to Parkinson’s disease. She will be over the moon however to be reunited with my Grandad, who also lost his battle with Parkinson’s in 2021 so it’s a disease close to my family. I’m sure they will both be closely watching me train with a glass of wine in hand each heckling me every mile!

We’ve seen the struggles they both have faced and the impact it has had on our family so I have decided to run the Great North Run to raise awareness of the disease as well as raising some money to go towards research and more!
