Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
On Saturday 24th April 2027, I'll be taking on the TCS London Marathon for Parkinson's UK in honour of my dad, and everyone affected by Parkinson's.
My dad was diagnosed with Parkinson's over 10 years ago. Since then, I've seen first-hand the impact the condition can have, not only on the person living with it, but on their family and loved ones too. Despite the challenges Parkinson's brings, my dad continues to face every day with incredible strength, resilience and determination.
This marathon is especially meaningful to me because my dad ran the London Marathon when he was younger. To now have the opportunity to take on the same race makes this challenge even more special.
Parkinson's UK provides vital support to people living with Parkinson's and their families, campaigns for better care, and funds groundbreaking research into new treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
While training for a marathon will undoubtedly be a challenge, it's nothing compared to the challenges faced every day by the 153,000 people living with Parkinson's in the UK.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help Parkinson's UK continue their incredible work and would mean so much to me and my family.
Thank you so much for your support.
