Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Thank you for visiting the Parkinson’s UK fundraising page! I’m taking part in the Great North Run on 8 September 2024 to raise vital funds for Parkinson’s UK.
Why I hear you ask, well it’s for my best mate Alan who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s late last year, the cruel disease may rob Alan of many things, but it will never take away my love and support for him. We have been on many an adventure but this one he’ll watch from the comfort of his couch, but as Alan will tell you, he doesn’t like running, unless the ice-cream van is driving away 😀.
Please help by sponsoring me whatever you can. All the money raised will go to Parkinson’s UK nurses, to provide much-needed advice, support and information for people who are living with the condition.

25.4km/15.8 mile Run
Friday 16th Aug Took part in "The Drop", a 10 miles as the crow flies, blindfolded till you reach the start point then try and find your way back to the start point without phones or GPS. Ended up running 25.4km/15.8 miles and had a ball, we ran from Houston to Cowcaddens at the canal. Thanks to Matt and Lauren who ran it with me ❤️ Share
17k run today plus some extras
Saturday 3rd Aug 17km completed, my legs were tired before I started but not a bad run. Then another couple of km as I'd promised autumn a run round the block 😀. So 19.5km in total. Time for a bath ShareThank you to my sponsors
