Why I am fundraising for Parkinson's UK
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I’m taking part in the Great North Run on 13 September 2026 to raise vital funds for Parkinson's UK.
I hate large events, but am sucking it up to raise some cash. Please help by sponsoring my challenge of getting a half marathon PB on the day! I'll be aiming for sub 1hr 43min - so I can get to the Metro at the end before there's too much of a queue (that's the spirit) 🏃♂️🤣.
All money raised will help fund breakthroughs and help support the Parkinson's community.
My updates
2ish weeks to go
Thursday 27th Aug Nearly 10weeks solid training - done. Running 5/6 days a week. I've had a small tendon issue since March that I've been rehabbing with the help of a physio. The tendon doesn't like it when I do very fast running, but doesn't seem to mind that much otherwise. Hopefully all will be well. I am in the Orange Wave, starting at 10:50.
